This template is transcluded on the file description pages of featured pictures.
Usage
Basic usage
{{featured picture|FPC subpage}}
All parameters
{{featured picture|FPC subpage|type=filetype|category=category}}
Parameters
- 1 - the subpage of Wikipedia:Featured picture candidates for the image. This parameter is optional.
- type - the filetype. Can be "picture", "video", or "animation" (the default is "picture").
- category - a custom category to use additionally to Category:Featured pictures.
Categories
This template adds pages to Category:Featured pictures by default. An additional category can be added by using the |category= parameter as documented above. It also adds pages to Category:Featured pictures promoted through delist if the subpage parameter begins with "delist".
